德克萨斯州朗德罗克及加利福尼亚州圣克拉拉，2019年8月13日 – 东京上市企业Toppan Printing Co., Ltd.旗下子公司Toppan Photomasks, Inc.与先进的特殊工艺晶圆厂格芯今日共同宣布，双方已达成长期供应协议。根据该协议，Toppan将向格芯提供光掩膜和相关服务，该部分目前由格芯位于美国佛蒙特州伯灵顿的光掩膜制造业务提供支持。协议同时约定，Toppan将收购格芯伯灵顿光掩膜制造工厂的部分资产。该协议还将增强双方位于德国德累斯顿的先进掩膜技术中心(AMTC)合资企业的实力。此项交易为向AMTC转移更多先进掩膜制造工具铺平了道路，并将有效增加产能，从而进一步巩固其长期作为欧洲先进掩膜制造厂的地位。
在未来几个月内，双方将把收购的设备和工艺逐步转移至Toppan位于全球各地的制造厂。借助此项协议，Toppan不仅可以扩展其德克萨斯州朗德罗克工厂的经营范围和产能，还可扩展其全球光掩膜业务，而格芯作为先进的特殊工艺晶圆厂，也将集中资源开发功能丰富的差异化解决方案，为客户创造更多价值。格芯伯灵顿工厂的工作将不受影响。
